Existing Life/Second Chance fanfics, what happened?
Hey guys, not much to talk about since the series ended, but I still find myself reading the good fanfics from time to time (I like to read on my tablet before falling asleep). I really wonder how long the midnight episodes of WoWP are going to last...
anyways, I'm not sure if anyone knows Jak4 personally (ff.net url: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/892394/Jak4), but if you've read his stories Existing Life or Second Chance and became engrossed in the world he created, you're probably just as pissed off as I am that they're both unfinished. >_< I was wondering if anyone knew the deal with him or if anyone had been in contact with him.
I originally started reading Existing Life, not knowing it was a prequel to Second Chance, so I decided to wait until the prequel was finished before reading the original story; thinking that 'oh it'll wrap up the plot and tell me what happened in the end.' ...One and a half years later, I gave up waiting and read the first story, only to find out... alskdfjaosidfasd, IT'S unfinished too! Figures. -_- (it was definitely a wham moment when I read the first story and found out a certain character from the prequel was dead, though...)
but yeah, the 'verse he created is amazing and there really aren't any stories like them... in the entire fandom, I'm willing to bet. (kind of sad considering it's a show about magic, and he's the only one who I've seen write a decent action story...)
p.s. I can't be the only one who gets a future-fic daysareslippingpast-ish vibe whenever I hear Someone Like You by Adele... I can so see that song narrating from Alex's point of view some point in the future.
p.p.s. If you're going to read these stories, know that they're both VERY long and you will probably get hooked. Existing Life is more dark angsty and character driven, Second Chance is mostly action sequences amidst the occasional wacky hijinks-type situation.
