So friday I worked my first PFR shift. It was the most boring thing ever! I did a whole 2 calls. I sat by myself for 7 hours bored out of my mind, watched school of rock and moped around.
After I got off of work i met up with
Andy . We went to Applebee's to eat then we rode in his awesome, bad ass ford F-350 diesel.. It was a nice semi-truck. He took me to the selfridge air national guard base where he works. After we toured the hangers where fighter jets are kept and got to see the runway. Very interesting, its like a mini-city. We then headed back to my car where we talked about 40 mins in his truck before deciding to get headed home.
I left thinking that i would be hanging out with him the next day until hell struck @3am.. I started to puke my brains out for 11 hours and then it didn't stop... i shit my brains out next.. for another 11 hours! haha i know disgusting!
I had Sue come over and start an IV on me, gave myself an initial 1300mL fluid bolus then DC'd the IV. I felt even more worse and had Abbey when she came home start another 1000mL IV on me. Between the two, i got poked 6 times! Usually i have the best veins, this time.. ugghh, didn't happen!
So today, i woke up all sore and still had one problem going. However, feel a little bit better. I had to run to Meijers to at least get some soup. I got the chicken noodle soup at hands by campbell.. had half of one before i got fed up with it and had 4 pieces of toast. I was suppose to go try out for the Troy PD tactical EMS team but due to the sickness i was unable to attend. I just couldn't go through the extensive course being as weak as i am. Too bad, Abbey told me only 6 people tried out, and out of those 6.. all of them made it because 6 people were the cut :( I guess things happen for a reason and i guess i am not made to be on the team now. oh well.. CCEMT-P Course is starting in a week from wednesday, or well.. Wednesday when i start it.
