It's been a warm couple of days, but I think I'll leave it to Sam to discuss that since she's so good at it.
I'm doing the same amount of thinking as I normally do, if not more. With Y-Con just around the corner, I'm considering costume designs and stuff of that nature. I still haven't finished the costume for the masquerade and I still need to get a wig. I had a real nice one on eBay, but some jerk pushed it a little too high and I had to let it go. Fortunately, the population of blonde wigs on eBay is not at all small. I'll find another one and place a bid later this week.
Assuming I get paid on Friday, like I should. Hard to say when it comes to our accounting department, which is certainly not here. I wonder how much trouble I can get them into for not giving me my check on time. That's probably not a good idea if I want to keep my job, though. Maybe it's just better that I stay quiet, cross my fingers, and hope for the best.
(On a small note, can that be considered oppression? Not wanting to say something because I'm afraid of being caught in that position where I can't get another stable job? After working in one place for over a year, I'm more than scared to leave it, especially regarding the idea that so many people are unemployed. Unemployed is not fun. And it's the last thing I need.)
So, yeah. Cosplay. Still not done. Three costumes to do. One is mostly done and needs some touch ups and completely sucks butt. xD (But is mostly for the lulz.) I'm afraid my hair will be too long for that one, though. :\ One is almost done, but needs some touch up stuff and the blonde wig. And the last one I haven't even started. Durr. I'm a genius.
DWO closed beta will be starting in mid-October. I received a newsletter on it this morning before leaving for work and got some chills up my spine. To think play will be free and only the game needs to be purchased. It's just like Guild Wars, with a little more smashy smashy.
The developers said it's made to work better with a controller. So for the beginning of October, they're going to be giving out free xBox 360 USB controllers for the game for so-and-so amount of time. You can bet I'll be right on top of that.
While I'm excited, I'm wondering if I'll be able to split my time between LJ roleplay, which I'm hoping to finally get back into by this weekend. I'm testing to see my stress level, what with Dong gone and just being with Jenny for the next two weeks. If I can handle LJ RP on top of CoX RP and all of that, then DWO is probably going to be a super, super go. I'm hoping it'll be good.
I'm crossing my fingers so hard for closed beta. Pleaseletmein. Pleaseletmein. Pleaseletmein. Gogogogogogogogo.
Aside from that, I want to finish reorganizing my icons and putting them on my icon community. I'd also like to do some writing and some drawing art. I'll be making a list of things I'd like to work on over the next few weeks.

• Get Xan, Marcasite, and Agenla up to 50.
• Get Nan up to 20. xD;
• Get Doug and Radiant up to 35 for ITF.
• Do something with Narcisse and Amatory.
• RP more with Aizercul and Vhelldar. (Yay incest!)
Art Stuff
• Lots and lots of CoX fan art
Writing Stuff
• My Obligation (I want to finish this.)
• Silhouettes and Strings (I want to revise and finish this.)
• Keyholes (...I should probably finish this sometime.)
• White Desire (I'd love to revise this and finish it.)
• You Precious Thing (Finishing this one would be nice.)
• What Lies beneath the Ground (I'd also love to finish this. I occasionally work on revision stuff for it.)
• Start a new Drakengard / DoD fanfic. Something either pre DoD 1 or between DoD 1 / DoD 2.
• Start a new Final Fantasy VIII fanfic, detailing the more logical probability of Squall / Rinoa's relationship after the defeat of Ultimecia.
• Write a bunch of one shots for the following fandoms: Chrono Cross, Drakengard (I actually originally typoed 'Crakengard' instead, xD), Dynasty Warriors, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X-2, Fire Emblem 1, Fire Emblem 3, Outlaw Star, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Legend of Zelda, and Wild Arms.
And uh.
Yeah.
That's pretty much it. I better go back to work for the next 40 minutes. :|
