Dressed in her usual black, Karen hopped up the steps of the deck below to the upper deck of the Lady Justice. A cool night. Crisp with the sea air lacing the soft wind that tossed fiery curls around her face.
After a moment of adjusting to the darkness, she saw the lone orange glow of a cigar, a usual night light~, and she wandered over to its source. "Cool night."
"Mn," Smoker nodded in agreement, "It will get warmer soon. We're going to a summer island." He put his arms around her shoulders though, under the guise of warming her up.
With a tilt of her head she glanced up at him. "Oh? A summer island?"
"I've never had a warm winter. Usually around this time of the year it's always snowing." She said with a faint smile at the memories of white Christmases with the lights of Tokyo being the illumination. Sure they were always spent alone, but it was a warm atmosphere among the cold days.
"Water 7. To repair the ship. They'll occasionally repair pirate ships but it's the best and we can't afford to risk trying to make it elsewhere." Smoker drummed his free hand idly on the deck railing. "And I need her to be in the best shape possible to tail the Straw-Hats. Their shipwright comes from that island so we'll see." Oro Jackson, Gold Roger's legendary ship was likewise made on the island but Smoker merely wanted his ship fixed and in the best shape possible, not reinvented.
"In Loguetown it would probably start snowing soon... But there's always a first."
