[Apollo wasn't having much luck with the NPCs of New Bark town. Having more or less figured out the communicator, he decides to give it a try. So have a young man with ridiculous antenna hair sliiightly too close to the camera
( Read more... )
[Whoa, what's with that hair? Man, that was some wild hair. That probably sticks out way more than his top hat.]
I am sorry to say, but this is no hallucination. I am afraid to say that you are in the same situation as us; trapped in this strange world, unknown as to how or why we are here. It's quite a puzzle really.
...Ah, and I believe that dog belongs to you, sir. Everyone starts with a partner when landing in here. It is no mistake.
[...brb just going to style the Professor's hair like Apollo's and give Apollo a top hat...]
I'm sure we can all solve this puzzle if we think together. After all, every puzzle has an answer.
And yes, everyone does get one. I have one myself, though it is more of a fox than a dog. I believe your partner is called a "Growlithe" and...apparently it breaths fire...
[Yeah...The Professor's fox can do that too, but it's supposed to be based of some myth...a dog though...what the hell Johto?]
[They'll be twins! Harder to tell apart than the Gavin's.]
That is exactly it, sir. You did say you were a lawyer, correct?
Hm...I believe it all depends on the Pokemon itself. My partner quickly learned to control it, but I have seen a few others that do not. It really all depends.

A puzzle is one way to look at it. I just hope someone figures out how to solve it.
[He looks over at his Growlithe] Everyone gets a partner as protection, right? That's what I've heard.

And every crime leaves evidence. The trouble is finding the evidence and using it to solve the puzzle.
I-I've heard it does. I hope it knows how to control it.

I'll just have to wait and see, then. [But Growlithe makes what seems to be reassuring "Growlithing" in the background.]

[The Professor nods, before remembering to introduce himself.]
Ah, I apologize. I should have introduced myself sooner. My name is Professor Hershel Layton. May I ask for yours?

[Apollo looks a bit embarrassed. He keeps forgetting that!]
My name's Apollo Justice. It's nice to meet you, Professor Layton.
