I apologize if my absence has unsettled anyone, but the City's underground seems to be more of a maze than I'd originally given it credit for. In my earnest to learn more about this place, I appear to have lost track of time while I was down there

Lost? No, by no means lost. I merely allowed myself to get caught up in looking around, and didn't realize that it would appear that, in the past month, I had not seen many of the people who would question my disappearance.

How silly of you. At least you are safe, though, and that is what is important. Did you learn anything new?

Quite a bit about the City's structure, but nothing about how it operates and under what laws--which, unfortunately, was my intention in going down there in the first place. It seems if there is anything to be learned about the City, it is in the Overground.

Well you certainly weren't going to find any laws in the underground, Mr. Yagami. I suppose it's a lesson learned, hm~?

The police force were on a rather scary manhunt. We were even told to not walk alone, or after hours. I'm not sure on the details, but practically everyone was talking about it!

. . . Not good for me to have missed something like that. I could have easily used an event like that to raise my position in this force's ranks. Ah, I see. Well, I'm glad you weren't harmed, Megumi.
