We don't have much choice. We know a few of the people involved but they are powerful enough to change reality and steal our stuff and abilities.

I know some are trying to find a way out and others are trying to fight though. They just haven't gotten far yet.

We are all kind of from different worlds too, so I don't think what's true for one person is true for another.
