impeachment really?!?
So I've now heard two different people say that we should IMPEACH the supreme court justices for this ruling. Talk about a knee-jerk response. I dont like the ruling but impeachment needs to be reserved for gross abuses of power or incompetence. This is a contentious issue no doubt, but it will not be resolved by appealing to our most childish instincts. More importantly, I'd be really surprised (and troubled) if this was an impeachable offense.. just think of the horrible precedent this would set. Don't like a judge's ruling? Have him/her impeached.. fuck 'em for interpreting the law in a way you dont like. I'm sure this is coming out of Mike Malloy or some other faux-progressive because the argument sounded very scripted (like some of Glenn Beck's rants).
