topicalpoet: Not only does she release the most god-awful recording to ever reach human ears--a finely-tuned piece of tripe that makes Britney and Kelly and Hillary-fucking-Duff look like Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Beethoven--that should make Gavin Rosdale berate her endlessly before dumping her ass off with the cast of the Surreal Life as her soul is sucked into Satan's urethra but she manages to fill 30% of said recording with references to being fucked in the back of a car. On top of all of this, she basically affirms her role as a traditional female figure despire her risque sexual provocations. By saying that she "ain't no 'holla back!' girl," Gwen Stefani has told the world that she's too fucking inconsiderate to call someone back and that women should always expect men to call them, just the way it was back in the glory days of American sexism, the 1950s. She wraps this throwback to neanderthal-like, hair-dragging Americana in a guise of female empowerment, coupled with the mandatory fake-rage and sprinkled with flashes of sex and belly shots and her stupid fucking dot on her stupid fucking forehead and tricks an entire generation of American females into thinking that being the type of girl that doesn't holla back is tantamount to being a strong and independent woman. The idea is that basically, if you are a tempting and evil asshole who's too good to call someone back then you'll get your way. Setting American feminism back by some 20-odd years.
