14. Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
In terms of rating for sexxins, I pretty much stick with G or PG. I've played around with attempts at PG-13 or light R, but they were utter fail - just awkward pastiche. My violence ratings are similar. The only thing I've written that I felt I ought to rate for is "dark themes", aka creepiness, and that only once or twice.
15. Warnings - What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
Most important: triggery stuff like discussion of rape (which usually winds up in my meta, not my fic, but whatevs). I also always warn for character death, where "always" is "on both of the tribute fics I've written". :S
Strangest? Fluff, crack, something along those lines. I'm not very creative with warnings, but you could get some doozies out of some of my crackfics. I think the strangest warning I've ever actually made up was for primsong's The Shining Furrow (excellent Who longfic, btw) when I recced it on Calufrax a couple weeks ago; that was for "deliberate misappropriation of Tennyson". ;-)
