Seen today while zoning out staring at a bookcase:
The History of North American Rail by Christopher Chant.
O_O *giggling now*
(For those who don't get it: Christopher Chant is the real name of the title character in Diana Wynne Jones's "Chrestomanci" series. He's a very dapper, seemingly absent-minded British enchanter, and though he does live in the proper time period, anyone less likely to write a history of North American railways would be hard to imagine. XD)
*************************
On a related note, if anyone besides
sophia_sol (who's heard it already) knows who both Chrestomanci and
Tom Hiddleston are - the latter is my fantasy casting for the former now. If anyone was dumb enough to try to make a Chrestomanci movie when clearly you CANNOT FIT ALL THE AWESOME IN. *g*
*wishing to fanart this now* *can't draw* *but he is an EXCELLENT actor and very good at things like looking-vague-but-not-really-vague and leaving-the-room-like-a-very-long-procession-of-one-person*
