[Friday morning, before homeroom starts. Athrun opens his shoe locker and three envelopes fall out. He squats down and picks them up, frowning.]

More love notes? This makes ten this week... I don't think I got this many the past two Decembers combined.

I wonder if somebody knows something about what I did last year...

[A wild Ginpachi-sensei appears!! He picks up one of the letters and just starts reading, making contemplative sounds and weird faces. Creepy much?]

Ohh...wow, I didn't know you guys even knew this kind of language! They grow up so fast these days.

Wha-- Hey! Come on, Sensei, you shouldn't be reading other people's mail!

[Athrun makes a grab for the letter.]

Hmm? But it was right there on the floor. Finders, keepers! It's just how the world works.

[holds it out of Athrun's reach~]

But it's addressed to me! See, it's got my name on it!

[The thought occurs to tackle Gintoki to the ground, but he doesn't want to get expelled for assaulting a teacher. So he'll just continue to grab for it.]

Oh? Is it important to you?

[And because the wonderful Ginpachi-sensei is a jerk, he's now fending Athrun off by his head, trying not to laugh.]

It contains a girl's feelings! It should at least be properly handled!

[Suddenly Gintoki appeared to be serious. Or least not laughing outright.]

A girl's feelings are delicate like a newborn butterfly, it's true. So how will you handle them?

If the girl gives me a way to contact her, I'll meet her and give her the truth as gently as I can manage. If not...then I'll take the letters back to my room and dispose of them in such a manner that no one else can read them.

[And the letter flutters to the ground as Gintoki walks away with a wave.]
