KIDS

i've been thinking a lot about my childhood recently, and i realized -- i hope i have a kid who was as awesome as i was.

i had a crazy awesome imagination and always kept myself and my friends entertained.

i loved everyone and was friends with whoever would hang out with me.

i was never mean or cruel and never bullied anyone or got into a fist fight or cussed or did anything pointlessly rebellious.

i never cared about brand names or clothes in general even though i caught shit from it from little bastards on a daily basis.

i was naive and good-humored and never let those pricks who followed me home from school everyday get me down.

i watched nickelodeon and never had any interest in piece of crap drama shows like 90210.

i was good-natured and did what my mom asked me to do without being an annoying kiss-ass who was afraid to make my mom mad.

i was eccentric -- my tastes have not altered by rather have been updated with the passing time. i was versatile and tried out many different professions (librarian, dentist, lawyer, store owner, detective) before settling on being president.

i was a good conversationalist and was never shy, but was never obnoxious or one of those "ain't i cute" kids.

i was an entrepreneur and had my own ice cream stand, lemonade stand, babysitting service and antique sale.

i was a philanthropist and co-founder of the Junior Big Helpers -- i possessed brilliant networking skills and met felix grucci through that organization.

i never wanted to join dance or gymnastics or soccer. i don't know why, but i'm pretty sure that makes me awesome.

i did however invent the game of bongoball.

but mostly, i was unassuming and nice and fun and cool. i can honestly say if i have a kid (girl or boy) who is anything like me, i'll be psyched.
