Character Relations and Plotting (OOC)

Annnd more rehash.

Riff's an 11th grader from the '34 era and the *gasp* male vice president on the student council. Because Riff's an NPC he most likely won't have any or very little interaction with 2012 kids but he'll be around to harass assist the '34 kids. If you don't mind the fact he's a complete fraud and a shameless manipulator, he's seemingly a very nice, very caring, very reliable, very patient gentleman. He - or at least his mask - prides himself in helping out anyone who needs it and is always offering an open ear for either anyone who needs it or anyone who wants to pitch their issues to a student council member. He'll even offer academic help/tutoring if people need it because he's oh-so-nice.

Personality types he gets along most easily with, or at least try to adapt himself the most to get along with, are people he can use, usually pushovers. However, the best way to have a conversation with him that most likely won't go towards his calculations or manipulations (though almost everything gets neatly filed away in that) is if you get him talking about drama and theatre. He even keeps mental track of everyone in his radar so chances are if you have some standing or reputation, he has a decent idea of who you are. If you get on his shit list, however, be warned; when he gets a grudge he nurses it like his prized baby and as vice president, has more opportunities to get back at you. He's also a petty prick when he wants to be. Best way to earn his hate is to know about his true self and keep picking away at it. On the bright side, it might get him to be more honest and geunuine, though he won't be nice about it. He'll play nice until then though.

Overall, he's a two-faced jerk who will do ANYTHING to get him closer to his goals so selling his opinions and loyalties isn't out of the question because hey, everyone is a tool including himself. That said, it also makes it easy put Riff into the manipulated position because this guy WILL jump through the hoops even if they are ridiculous and degrading, if it means he gets what he wants. He's also big on preaching balancing gender powers at school so that usually involves him advocating more power for the boys while seemingly wanting to maintain some power for girls *cough*withingenderappropriatelimitsofcourse*cough*.

Also, this probably goes without saying, but Riff likes to cheat or stack the odds in his favor. If he's offering something or doing an activity with you, you should probably start wondering when the other shoe will drop. Be careful what games you play with him. Like Mao /sob.
