Chapter 37
For a bit, all the girls were very busy. Maybe now is a good time to recap many things! School for them is going to start soon, so they’re all preparing in their own ways. Stress was piling up, maybe one of them will even snap! Just kidding.
Vicky, probably the most busy, was trying very hard to balance between work and school. She had to also figure out her schedule with her boss and movie director about going back to America for school and such. Of course, she’s not going to be able to go to every single class, but missing a lot wouldn’t be good either. Maybe she will take the online courses instead…although she knows her parents would definitely reject that. Therefore, that really wasn’t a choice. It was already previously decided that for a section of the movie it would be filmed in America, after all it does follow the story line. Although she wanted to live in a dorm badly to meet dope guys, maybe some would be even asian, she wasn’t allowed to anymore. She is a famous actress and model now…so that wouldn’t be very safe. Therefore, it was decided by Gary that she will live in a decent sized house near the school.
Her movie acting skills were coming along fine. She came into it with practically no expierenece at all but since the director favored her and saw potential…plus would attract many viewers, Vicky was chosen. Basically, she learned how to act by actually acting. Although memorizing lines was a pain in the butt to her, the after parties with staff members and them beautifying her made it all better. And she never noticed before, but some of the other casts were actually very cute. Well, she knew Yuuto was cute, but he’s a butt for causing unnecessary drama in her life.
Vicky twitched slightly and cringed as she thought about what Yuuto did again to her delicate relationship between her and Ryo. The hairdresser who was curling her hair felt her slight movement and looked at her wide eyed. “Oh I’m sorry! Did I burn you?!” she asked.
Vicky looked up confused and shook her head slightly, “What? Oh no, I was just thinking about something…evil”
The hairdresser let out a laugh, “…Evil?”
Vicky smiled, “…Yeah…it’s nothing”
The hairdresser finished curling her hair and styling it even more. Then the make up artist came and applied light touches. Her phone started to ring and it was from Gary.
“Hello” Vicky answered.
“Hellooo, how is it going?” he asked.
“Good! I just got my hair done and make up”
“Ah, that’s good. Are you about to go on set?”
Vicky looked at the clock, “Hm…no…not until a little bit”
“Good good, then we can talk! So, about your schedule…it’s going to be verryy packed…”
Vicky listened carefully as Gary said every single thing. The whole time…she seriously thought about just skipping some of the things and fleeing back to where rest of VMXCR was.
Rolanda had been busy as well after just moving in with Nino. It was a little weird at first, but now she was totally fine seeing Nino get out of the shower shirtless and such. It just made Rolanda hyper every single time and laugh to herself…which made Nino think she has gone crazy, but that’s okay! The times that they spend together back at their home was very important to both of them, since they’re both busy all the time. Nino was in another drama and had late night filming and early morning events with Arashi. Rolanda was preparing for a special model line along with Chrystal and Mimi. They will actually have to do the cat walk and stuff! It was very exciting news when they heard.
The first couple of weeks, Mimi and Chrystal were also living in Nino’s apartment. They tried really hard to not disturb them since they probably wanted alone time or whatever, but that was very hard since it was Chrystal and Mimi. Plus Rolanda would feel bad and want to join them and be a good hostess! Therefore, Mimi and Chrystal quickly found an apartment to live that would be near their college location! It was about time they had to find a place closer to the city and school anyways~. Rolanda also had to prepare for school back in America. She thought about how….dumb it sorta was that she just got use to living with Nino but had to leave so soon! She let out an unsatisfied sigh as she watched the boring morning news. Nino came up from behind her and handed her a glass of water. Rolanda looked up at him confused, which made Nino laugh. He always liked to see Rolanda’s facial expressions.
“Nino?” she asked confused.
Nino let out a laugh as he sat down next to her, “What?”
“What are you doing here? I thought you left for work”
Nino smiled, “Not yet, yesterday was the last day that we had to meet up for a while. Drama filming doesn’t start until afternoon, so I have some time”
“Really?! That’s cool” Rolanda said happily, “Wait…then where did you go when you left early this morning?”
“To buy bread”
“What? Why? We have tons of bread!”
“No we don’t silly! I ate them…”
“ALL of them?!”
“And I gave some away”
“Aww to who~?”
“Ohno!” Nino replied with a smirk.
Rolanda laughed as she imagined Ohno’s sleepy face, “What? Why?”
“Because he always comes to the set sleepily like he hadn’t eaten breakfast yet…and when I ask him if he ate he would say a little! He’s really busy”
“Yeah…I saw on…something last night…that he’s doing another art exhibit?”
Nino smiled and nodded, “Yeah, it’s the same one Cindy is doing with Shige”
“Wha-at?! Really?!”
“Yeah, somehow it has turned into a celebrity…idol…art show”
“I want to submit something….!”
Nino smiled as he patted Rolanda’s head, “Ehhh? You can draw?”
Rolanda nodded as she put her glass down on the table, “Yeah I can!”
“…I don’t believe you”
“HEY! I can! I’ll prove it to you!”
Nino got up and stretched his arms as he nonchantly repeated, “Yes yes, you will prove it to me” and then he turned around and gave her a small smirk. Of course, Rolanda saw it and laughed.
“I caan~!!” she said, but Nino was already walking away to get ready.
Cindy was prepared for an exciting and fun adventure with Aiba! Somehow she had convinced Gary for a week of vacation, saying that she’ll take photos wherever she goes to put in the exhibit. He allowed it since it’ll be foreign pictures! But in exchange, she had to do whatever Gary requested of her. In a way, Gary was trying to bargain with Cindy by choosing something that he thought she would say no too…but that didn’t fall through. Cindy was surprised at first when Gary asked her to do the job, but Gary was even more surprise when Cindy agreed! It went sort of like this…
“Hello?” Cindy answered the phone.
“Good morning Cindy, it’s Gary, your boss, so I have thought about what you said and now I have the job for you” he said in a long run on sentence.
“Oh, okay. What is it?” Cindy asked.
“Lingerie modeling”
“Oh”
“Not going to do it?”
“Oh…oh….really?!”
“Yes”
“Cool, when?”
“What? You’ll do it?”
“Yeah, I don’t see why not. I am 18 afterall and It’s not like I’m ugly. Plus, maybe it’ll be fun”
“F..fun? Ah..okay”
So, that’s how the conversation went and Cindy went to the photoshoot like it was normal work. It really wasn’t that bad, or rather it was interesting. Plus, it got her a week off to go to wherever she wants! She forgot to tell rest of the girls and Aiba that she did the photoshoot though…so when it came out a couple of days later, well today, it was a big shock to them all. The only one who actually knew was Massu, but that’s because Cindy randomly called him that night and mentioned it. Cindy sat in her seat comfortably as she flipped through the magazine. She looked behind her to see if anyone was sitting behind her and peeking in between the chair cracks. She knows she does that some times…so she wondered if someone would think it was weird she was reading a lingerie magazine on the airplane. Her phone vibrated and it was a text from Mimi.
“CINDY DEAR, WHY ARE THERE PICTURES OF YOU HALF NAKED IN THIS MAGAZINE?”
“LOL because it was part of work. Don’t I look good?!” Cindy replied. Just when she pushed the send button, someone sat down next to her with a hat down low and sunglasses. Cindy turned off her phone and peered at him strangely. He looked over and gave her a cheesey smiled and Cindy smiled back, knowing who it is.
“Woah, what a coincidence” Cindy said.
“Yeah, didn’t expect to see you here!” Aiba also said as he pulled a small curtain across so that no one can see them. Cindy started to laugh at their horrible acting skills at the moment. They were both going to go Hong Kong for half the trip since that’s where Cindy decided she wanted to go for her time. It was Spain before, but she rather go to Hong Kong and enjoy Disney Land and the Ocean Park! Aiba is going to get recognized…but they’ll work that out later. Cindy went back to flipping through the magazine while Aiba put away something. He looked over at what Cindy was doing and ignored it at first, but then it caught his eye. He slapped the book, which got Cindy scared and she paused and looked up at him wide eyed. Aiba had an incredibly confused expression on his face as he took the book away from her.
“C-c-cindsey!” he said as he pointed at her face and then at Cindy’s face in real person.
“Hi?” she replied confused.
“Is that you?!” he asked.
“Yeah…”
“Why…why…why is your underwear showing?!” he asked now as he pointed at the underwear she was wearing on the picture.
“It’s a lingerie magazine silly!” Cindy said as she grabbed it back, “I’m looking it over to see which ones they chose!”
Aiba leaned over, still confused, “Eh? Why? Why did you do a lingerie shoot? Eeehhh? Why didn’t you tell me?”
Cindy looked over and smiled, remembering how she forgot, “Because I wanted it to be a surprise!”
Aiba gave her a blank look, “…….AH! That picture is too revealing!” and he tried to cover the picture up with his hands.
Cindy laughed, “Don’t worry! Only girls look at these things anyways!”
Aiba reluctantly took his hands away, “Right…only girls look at it” and he sat back in his seat with his hands clasped together as he pretended nothing happened. Cindy looked over at him and smirked, “Aiba~ do you look at lingerie magazines?”
Aiba looked over and smiled, “No no, why would I do that?” and he made a surprised face as he grabbed his phone. He was confused to find that Jun had texted him, so he started to read it outloud unconsciously.
“Have you seen it? Your girlfriend in the lingerie magazine. It’s super popular right now where I’m waiting”
Aiba turned off his phone immediately and looked back over at Cindy with a blank face. Cindy was smiling as she flipped over the pages, not because she was seeing herself, but for some reason Jun’s message made her want to laugh. Oh wait! This proves that only girls look at it to be wrong! Aiba was still staring intensely at Cindy who ignored it, but couldn’t anymore when Aiba’s forehead was leaning against the side of Cindy’s face. She moved her head to the right so it leaned against the wall, but Aiba just leaned forward.
Cindy laughed, “What Aiba? I can see and feel you’re staring at me!”
“Does this magazine have posters?” he asked.
Cindy flipped through the pages quickly, “No?”
He smiled and gave her a quick peck on the cheek, “Okay~”
Someone began announcing something and Aiba put back on his hat and sunglasses as he pulled the curtain back. Cindy got excited as the time for take off to approach.
Around the same time, Mimi and Chrystal were busy out in the city trying to find a new cellphone for Chrystal! There were so many different ones that it was just so hard to choose! They had both managed to find time to do some furniture shopping and other necessity shopping before they both to do their own things. This was basically the only way to get out and relieve their stress. Now that Cindy wasn’t their photographer, they actually have to try their best during the shoots so the photographer wouldn’t yell at them. And if they stay in their apartment, they would just keep thinking about studying for college. Such a big pain in the butt~! So, the girls spent a good 30minutes on each phone and had a personal assistance!
“Ooh, I like this one! I saw Jun do a commercial with this one!” Chrystal said as she scurried over to another phone.
“REALLY? Ooh I like it too!” Mimi said but looked at the phone next to the one that Chrystal was pointing at.
“Ah, this is a rather new phone that came out. It has received pretty good reviews” the assistance said.
“Ooh” Mimi and Chrystal both replied. They asked about the functions, colors, and everything else that was on their mind that related to cell phones. Chrystal decided to get it when she remembered Tegoshi also did a phone commercial with it as well! Jun AND Tegoshi! Who wouldn’t want that phone?! After that, Mimi and Chrystal went to a local café to allow Chrystal to set up her phone and configure the settings. Chrystal called Mimi’s phone and set her as #2.
“WAIT. WHY AM I NUMBER 2?!” Mimi asked.
Chrystal laughed, “Oh, because Tegoshi is number !!”
“WHAT?! WHY?! I WANT TO BE NUMBER 1!”
“But…I don’t want to change it anymore~!”
“Stop being lazy! I demand you to put me as number 1!”
“Okay okay” Chrystal said as she changed it.
“..Did you really change it?” Mimi asked.
“Yes?” Chrystal said.
“Oh, okay!”
Chrystal laughed, “Why? You thought I pretended to?!”
Mimi laughed too, “Well who knows~. But now…if you’re ever in any trouble, you can just dial in number 1 and my phone will ring and it’ll say Lover Xstal and then I will answer it happily until you tell me whats wrong and I’ll spaz and go macho Mimi and fly over to you!”
Chrystal listened and her eyes got wide when Mimi finished very high-tension like and laughed, “Okay Mimi, okay! AW MAN I HAVE TO GO NOW!”
“Noooo, wait go to work! Free clothes!” Mimi said with a smile.
Chrystal got up excitedly, “Oh that’s right! Okay okay! Bye lover!”
“Byeee” Mimi said as she watched Chrystal leave. Now it was just Mimi alone sitting in the local café as Chrystal went to work. Mimi took her time sipping her iced tea as she enjoyed the nice outdoor. Man…she doesn’t have anything to do…and actually thought about going to work with Chrystal even though she didn’t have any work to do there. She thought about the people she could hang out with and felt sad…when they’re either in America or busy with work! She thought about Vi and their stupid ideas when they’re bored…but that idea quickly went away when she remembered how annoying Vi could be some times. She’s still her beloved little sister though~. Her phone started to ring and for some reason she thought it would be Xstal, but it wasn’t, yet she answered like it was.
“Hi lover!” Mimi said happily.
“Lover?!” Shin replied back confused, “Is that what I am?!”
Mimi was confused too, “What? No! Why is it you?!”
Shin felt…rejected, “What? Now you don’t want me?”
Mimi laughed, “Wait, I thought you were another person…nevermind”
Shin laughed softly, “Who did you think I was?”
“Chrystal! My lover!” Mimi answered.
“Oh…anyways,” Shin said brushing it aside, “What are you up to right now?”
“Nothing at all!”
“Ah really? Where are you?”
“Umm…at some café…that I don’t know the name of” Mimi said with a laugh.
“Oh that’s really helpful. It’s okay, it’s a good thing I see you right now”
Mimi’s eyes got wide as she looked around confused, “What?! How?! Where?!”
Shin started to laugh, “YOU LOOK SO FUNNY PANICKING! I’m right here! Can you see me?”
Mimi looked around again, “NO! I DON’T! ARE YOU WAVING?!”
“Nope!”
“…THEN HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO SEE YOU?!” Mimi asked with a laugh.
Shin was still laughing, “Ah, this is funny. Can you see me now? I’m standing”
Mimi looked around…again, “NO I DON’T SEE ANYTHING STANDING! WAIT ARE YOU ON THE STREET?”
“Yes, you’re getting on the right track…”
“HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO FIND YOU OUT OF ALL THOSE PEOPLE STANDING AND WALKING?!”
“Eeehh, finding me should be the easiest thing in the world! I’m so handsome, how can I NOT catch your eye?”
Mimi paused in her finding and sat back down with a pout. “You know what, I don’t want to look for you anymore! You’re probably just too short!”
Shin gasped, “Hey I’m not short! I’m taller than you!”
“Oh yeah~ then why couldn’t I find you huh? You were TOO SHORT!” Mimi said with a grin. Suddenly her eyes were covered and Mimi freaked out, dropping her phone on the table as a result. She could hear Shin laughing, but very close now.
“Shin?” Mimi asked as she gently touched Shin’s hands that were covering her eyes.
“Yep” and he moved his hands just a little, turning her head in the process, and then putting his face in front of hers, “You found me!”
Mimi laughed, “Not really…uncover my eyes!”
Shin smiled but didn’t move, “That depends, will your eyes only see me?”
Mimi bit her lips from smiling, “No! They don’t want to see your ugly face”
Shin covered her eyes again, “Eehh, that’s not what your eyes are saying!”
Mimi laughed, “Quit it! You’re going to rub my eyeliner!”
Shin immediately took his hands off and began to inspect his hands, “Ew I hope I didn’t get any on my hands!”
Mimi looked at him weirdly but just continued drinking her iced tea. Shin sat down and smiled, “Just kidding”
“I hope so!” Mimi said with a laugh, “So, how did you find me? Did you follow me?!”
“No…I was walking by and sat you and Chrystal, then Chrystal left and I called you…”
“Ooh” Mimi said, disappointed his story sounded so normal.
There was a soft melody that flowed through the air and seemed to drift right to Mimi. She looked around alert as she tried to find the source of the sound. It sounded so familiar and so nice…but where did it come from? Shin watched her confused, maybe he didn’t hear the sound or something? There was a laugh at the table behind her and Mimi turned around to look at the group of Japanese girls laughing as they crowded around one of the girl’s cellphone.
“Ehhh? Is this the preview of their new song? His voice is so good!” one of them said.
“I know right? He’s so hot too, ah I’m so excited for the new album!”
“Too bad he’s taken, remember?”
“Ehh, but that was so long ago! Plus, there haven’t been any news of them anymore, so it must’ve been a rumored don’t you think?”
“I recently watched the news and her house got burned down! It didn’t say the cause though…”
One of them laughed, “You wouldn’t think it was an anti-fan would you?”
Mim turned back around and was holding the glass like she was about to crush it. Shin didn’t really know what to do.
“You never know! Some people would do anything if they found out their idol was going out with someone…”
“Ehh, well I admit he’s very good looking and nice and…perfect…but she was a good person too. Don’t you think they would’ve been a cute couple?”
“Ah…maybe…but him being single is nice too neh?”
They laughed and agreed, saying their “neh neh’s” so many times. Mimi wanted to go around and snap at them for some reason, even though they were supporting their relationship…sort of…maybe she’s getting her period.Shin continued to watch Mimi…but then he suddenly got out of his seat and leaned forward. He cuffed his hands over Mimi’s ears and she looked up at him surprised,
“What?” Mimi asked.
“Look, now you can only hear what’s important right?” Shin asked with a smile.
Mimi laughed, “What are you talking about? I can only hear you and me”
Shin’s smile got bigger, “I don’t really know why you’re tensing like this…but exactly, that’s what’s important” and then Mimi understood. Oh…she thought.
There was a figure standing to the left of her that caught the corner of her eye. She looked over and her eyes got wide as she immediately recognized Hero. She knew the girls behind her were squeeling with joy, but for some reason Mim couldn’t hear that. She could just hear the melody she heard before. She watched as Hero was still staring at her as he put his phone near his ear, the end of his phone strap still a flashy M, the same one that Mimi gave him.
Chrystal’s daily schedule was work, work, work, dinner with Mimi because it’s a must, then study study study for school. She didn’t feel any different from high school! Just that she lives with Mimi now, which makes things better. People around her were talking about Cindy and her lingerie shoot and how unusual it was. It wasn’t anything bad so Chrystal just let it slide. But she was definitely thinking “Yeah, that’s MY Cindy!”. She was done with work and was on her way back home. She looked at her cellphone and quickly texted Tegoshi, since she hadn’t all day. It just made her so excited and happy to know she’s even more connected to Tegoshi!
The car ride back to home wasn’t long since she moved to the city! Yeah! Technically, she could even walk home, but decided not to since it was dark…and there could be sketchy people on the streets. She kept…staring at her phone and just changing settings and everything! When she got back home, the lights were still off, indicating Mimi wasn’t home yet, which was weird! She dropped off her stuff in her room and checked the fridge…empty.
“Aw man! I have to wait for Mimi to come home!” Chrystal said sadly.
She lazily sat down on the couch and flipped on the TV. It was…boring news, why was it even on the news channel?! Suddenly NEWS’ faces came up and Chrystal gasped. It was talking about their concert and how it’s ending very soon. They had some clips of it as well, but Chrystal just felt happy she went to at least one show! Next to she wants to go to an F.T. Island show!
“OH NO! SINCE I LOST MY PHONE…HOW WILL MINHWAN CONNECT TO ME? OH NOOO” Chrystal suddenly said as she looked at her new phone, “OH NO, WHY. CANT. I REMEMBER PHONE NUMBERS?! MUST TRY TO REMEMBER” and that’s what she did. Of course, she failed.
Time passed as she watched a drama instead of studying. She really should be studying…or else she’ll be so behind when school starts again. It’ll be in a Japanaese school! It’ll be crazy with Japanese kids who are dedicated to their studies! Who knows what they’ve already learned and stuff?! Plus…Chrystal also still have to choose what classes to take! The deadline is in a week! Ahh, so many things to do~ so little time! Chrystal looked at the clock and noticed Mimi was still not home. She tried to call Mimi, dialing in the number 1, but Mimi didn’t pick up! So she sent a text to Mimi. Just a second later, a text came through…and it was from Mimi?
“Sorry! Not coming home for dinner tonight. Hero…is here?1 Yeah, I know weird. I’ll tell you about it when I get home. Bye lover!”
“WHAT?1 HERO IS BACK?!” and Chrystal smiled, “I wonder…if he’s…fighting for Mimi now! Too bad Mimi is mine~” and she got up to get a glass of water, leaving her cellphone on the table. She also toasted some bread…cooked some eggs…then ate some noodles…and bunched on some chips as she went on the internet on the computer in the living room. She got to talk on AIM to old friends like Vi, Vu, Eric, and Jessica! Oh how she misses little cute Jessica…maybe Chrystal will kidnap her to Japan one day! She went to get her phone from the table since Vi demanded her to because she sent her a picture or something of Scout. When Chrystal got her phone, she had another message too and it was from…TEGOSHI! Chrystal smiled as she read his first.
“I’m sorry. We’re over”
Chrystal’s eyes got wide as those words went through her mind. Wait, what? WHAT? She instantly tried to call him, but it went to voice mail. What…is going on…happened…what? Chrystal was mentally spazzing and malfunctioning so bad, she didn’t even check the picture Vi had sent! She just kept trying to find Tegoshi…and Mimi…but Mimi’s phone was also off! So then she tried Rolanda…but her phone was off and all of VMXCR’s phone was off actually! She couldn’t remember anyone else’s phone number…so she sat there confused…
