ok, i'm glad about obama. he's great, but he's still not pro-gay marriage. marriage is a right that heterosexual couples have. therefore, he's not pro-civil rights.
someone please tell me i'm wrong?
i watched the debates, i've read up. he doesn't want gay marriage. civil unions do not equal marriage, even if they offer all the same rights (which they don't). the refusal to use the same term is disturbing.
i just watched a grass roots rebellion on the apathy of modern politics. the masses rose up and were heard. why can't we do this with gay rights? now is the time to organize, rebel, demand our rights! to seize them from those who wish queerness would just stay in the closet.
