Gabriel had ended up staying at Elle's for the night, calling his mother up to tell her that he was studying at a friends. Of course, what they ended up doing was about as far from studying as they could get. For them, studying was pretty much just a code word for sex at this point. Not that either one of them minded or anything. Far from it ( Read more... )

The only thing Elle had looked forward to more on Monday than Gabriel was finally being able to go home for once. He had to go to work, and Elle seized the painful separation to run straight home ( ... )

Gabriel had been so focused on listening to the watch, trying to get it perfectly in time that he didn't even hear them come in, despite the little door chime ringing to tell him of their arrival.

He looked up from his desk once he finished, smiling at Elle's presence. He liked her visits to his shop now, even if he had once gotten rather angry about them. He took his work glasses over, standing to his feet now to get a better look at the man.

He was snivelling and weak, Gabriel could tell just by looking at Brian. It was kind of disgusting. But he smiled politely, turning to look at Elle once more.

"Is this the gifted one you told me about?"

"Uh huh," she beamed up at him, preening at her own good work. "This is Brian, Gabriel," she said, and rubbed the man's shoulder soothingly. He looked at her nervously, his fingers still twitching, his eyes darting. "Why don't you show Gabriel what you can do?" she proposed, practically giddy. This was such an important moment for Gabriel, and she got to share it with him. "And then he can show you."

Brian nodded. "It's... it's nothing, really."

Elle smiled encouragingly, and slapped his shoulder. "Oh, don't be modest. Show him!"

He hesitated, but stepped forward to the desk, lifting his hand. Some green mug teetered a bit, and then slid a few inches, and Elle clapped, her gaze shining as she hungrily looked to Gabriel. Would he like it?

Gabriel watched in fascination as he urged the mug closer to them. His eyes went dark and hungry. He wanted to do that. "That's wonderful," He gasped softly.

Brian shook his head nervously. "No, it's horrible."

"How could you say that?"

"I could hurt someone," Brian insisted stubbornly. "I don't want it. She said you could take it away from me."

Gabriel thought for a moment, carefully, grasping the thing of Crystals he kept on his desk. "You're broken."

"What?" Brian looked confused.

Gabriel just smirked hollowly, making his way towards the man. "Don't worry Brian, I can fix it." And with that he sent the thing of crystals smashing down into the back of Brian's head, causing the man to fall down to the ground in a heap.

The ticking was so loud in Gabriel's ears now he couldn't hear anything else.

Elle sucked in a greedy gasp, her lips tilting up as Gabriel dealt the blow and Brian collapsed, a pool of blood flowing from his fractured skull.

Her heart was beating so fast and loud, and she immediately rushed forward to wrap her arms around Gabriel's waist, resisting the urge to claw at his clothes and rip them right off. He just looked so beautiful like that--so raw and unhinged.

"Can I watch?" she asked breathlessly, rubbing his arms, his chest.

"Of course. After all, you brought him to me, why shouldn't you share the experience," He murmured in a soft, breathless tone. He carefully moved away from her, grabbing his work glasses and tools, putting them on.

He kneeled down next to Brian and began use his tools to make the crack in his skull deeper and wider. This took several moments of careful, precise work. There might have been an easier way to get the top off, but for now, Gabriel didn't know what it was. So this would have to work.

Finally, he was able to rip the scalp off and place it aside. He adjusted his glasses before placing his hands into the brains, carefully examining them. He didn't know exactly what he was looking for yet, but he was sure he'd know it when he saw it.

Elle dropped to her knees beside him, watching with childish awe and curiosity as he work past the scalp and skull, his sure, bloody hands working intricately. She leaned in, lips parted as his fingers spread over the grey matter. Would it work?

He finally found it, the spot he was looking for. He placed his hand over it and he shuddered, absorbing the power. He stood up. Making his way over to his desk, reaching out his hand. He foccused, and the mug jiggled a litle.

She jumped up, grinning broadly and launching herself into his arms, pressing her lips against his neck with a soft giggle.

He gasped softly as her arms were around him. "Thank you," he murmured before pressing a rough kiss against her lips.

"Yes," she whispered breathlessly. Her hands roamed his chest, curling into fabric and tugging as she pressed closer to him, panting against his lips. If Elle had any shame, maybe she would be embarrassed at how flushed and aroused she felt, but she didn't. He killed someone. Took his powers. Elle had never seen anything more wonderful in her entire life.

He deepened the kiss, melting into it. Maybe he shouldn't feel as turned on as he did either, but he didn't care. He pulled away after a few minutes, smiling broadly. "I have a gift for you too, though it isn't as good of one."

"A present?" she whispered breathlessly, running her fingers through his hair with a huge grin.

"Yes" He pulled away from her, grabbing the hand towel he kept at his work table to wipe some of the blood off his hands. He made his way to one of his cabinets, opening it up. He pulled out the jewelry box she had been looking at when she first came to visit him here at the shop. He walked over to Elle, handing it to her.

"I fixed it for you."

Elle took it from him slowly, her lips parting in surprise, her eyes widening in reverence. "Gabriel, this is... that was so sweet of you." She hugged the box to her chest. "Thank you."

He smiled broadly at her response. "You're welcome." It was nice to see her so happy over something.
