GOOOOAAAALLL!!
So I have decided that I need a goal to get me through grad school in a timely manner. I will give you thirty seconds to guess what you think it will be. Don't look down, cause that is where its written.
Cue the ubiquitous jeopardy music
Ok, is 30 seconds up? Well, if you didn't listen to the whole jeopardy song, I can't stop you from reading it anyway.
Here it is: I want to hike the AT twice in one season.
Simple enough, right? It would certainly save the headache of figuring out how to get home. Just park my car in Georgia, hike to Maine, turn around and hike back to Georgia, drive home.
All in all, it should take about six months. I would start in late March or early April, then 8 pairs of Salomons later I would be back in beautiful Georgia. I think finishing a trip like that would be the only situation where I would consider getting a tattoo. It would go on my ankle and read: "GA->ME->GA 2010"
So I guess the hard part would be the literal marathon per day pace, but I think I could get used to it ;-). This summer will be another test of my speed. Every day I can knock off my itinerary in June would equal 6 days in 2010. I just have to learn how to sew first.
