Wouldn't make a difference, since the flight would have been booked in AUD, not IDR. If anything it would be more expensive to book now.

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure she got this deal where she flies, has accomodation and food and stuff and had to pay in rupiah or rubles, or pesos, or shells, or whatever those backward rabbit breeding hicks in Indon accept these days. And they want to encourage more tourists so they would lower their prices perhaps, rather than drive them away with higher fees. All possible.

Well.....contiki have taken off all their specials, so if I were to re-book. I would have to pay $260 cancellation fee then re-book at normal (expencive) prices!
