At yesterday's
20th
Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities
Act celebration in San Francisco, they had two 2-part glass
beverage dispensers for water. One had sliced limes in it (which
didn't seem that unusual), but the other one contained sliced
cucumbers, which imparted a nice, subtle flavor. I'd never seen
that done before, although a couple of people told me this is
common in spas (I wouldn't know).
The bottom sections simply displayed whole limes and
cucumbers, respectively; since the dispensers were filled with
water, melting ice wouldn't present a dilution problem. You
can find images on Bed Bath & Beyond's and Costco's web
sites, among others - search for "Artland
Simplicity" or just "Simplicity" … Amazon,
Target and a bunch of others sell also sell these.
