(no subject)
So life hasn't been too bad lately, I'm really enjoying Miami. Glad I chose it! I'm doing pretty well in all my classes, so far (knock on wood) nothing less than an 83 on a given paper/exam. However I'm finding myself where I was in good ol' Pre-Cal, perpetually stuck in mediocrity of high B's and low A's, which of course here, a 90% in every class does not give you a 4.0 GPA. So even if I get A's, I won't be "up there". lol Pretty much, my days consist of waking up no earlier than 8:30, watching a good hour of The Nanny (its still classic) and going to class no earlier than 11 (... I like a long time to get ready). Depending on what day it is, I stop at Bell Tower and get a fruit smoothie (strawberry + pineapple in a fat-free yogurt base) and a breadstick, and eat while I a) read the newspaper b) read for a class or c) converse with whatever random stopper-by acquaintance happens to sit with me that day. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have a nice relaxing day that people think should be hell (because it goes for so long), but I love it and I love walking around in the fall weather. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I get up and go to psych at 1, I love that class. And then I come back to Tappan and do some sit-ups or read. Tuesdays I occasionally have meetings with my honors class, my group in there kicks ass. Every once in a while I have an experiment to go to, and sometimes little lectures about things like politics and anthropology.
And then of course just about every night we have to socialize, which consists of Bailey or V hanging around here, or Katie and I visiting 3 souf. Gotta love those boys. Our one night, perhaps Friday?, was when we had Tom ("The Supplier") meet us, show us his goldfish viking burial, and his roman soldier halloween costume. His roomie marty... Bobby, who's in my honors group (this kid rules), showed us his kick. ass. room. and invited us to his Seinfield watching every wednesday. Actually they have a lot of "watchings", cuz they're precious like that, but no one ever comes. BECAUSE. They are at the end of the hall too. !! lol Yeah, we decided to join forces and start visiting each other, cuz "boys/girls don't visit girls/boys at the end of the hall." We've got Brian and Mike and Pat and Justin, too. So cute. Well, justin isn't a 3 souther' but he still hangs with them, so its okay. And Pat isn't even in Tappan, but... well he's just that cool, and he's going to be my Lux buddy next year 2nd semester. We all went hot tubbing, had some fun ;), proved my abilities and relived france... haha got into a club, that was good... froze our asses off on the way home, though. I've had 2 exams this week, and a paper due. I got an 88 on my psych test, a 90 on my french, and the paper hasn't been returned. I'm pretty happy here, it's nice. Katie and I were enlisted as the 3 Souf flag football team cheerleaders. We're going to get costumes, too. And we're working on the pursuit of the Carmen Electra "strip-fit" video. ... Well! sometimes it's just too cold to go to the rec?! haha
well, off to psych, then to come back here and do my scheduling for next semester. aagh!? I'm SO OLD. =) and then I shall write my paper (5-7 pages?) before I go to my experiment at 5. And then wal-marting. And then clubbing. Gotta love college! ♥
