(no subject)
So i'm back home now. It's all very sad. I just didn't want this last week to finish, I had *the* best time and met *the* coolest people!
It started in Sydney. Joshua and I were up at 5am, and on our way by 6. We met up with Beth in the morning and spent the day with her, then met up with Michele later on in the day. The show was great, and the crowd absolutely loved every bit of it. Afterwards, we went backstage for a bit, then went and hung at the motel until 4am util our train came. We got back to Newcastle by about 8am, and then spent the day at Joshii's place for his sisters birthday. So when it was time to go to the Newcastle gig, we had had absolutely ZERO sleep. So josh and I got ourselves a can of red bull each and got ready for anther amazing show.
We met up with the lovely Christine at this show, and had to get through a crappy opening band. We survived that, and then got to see yet another kick ass performance by Veruca Salt.
After the gig, Josh mentioned to Louise that we had planned to go to the Melbourne show the following day, but we never ended yp organising it. So Louise offered to put our names on the door if we decided to go down. we were both really tempted, but realised it was probably a bit of a crazy idea since it was probably too late to organise anything.
So we hung around in town for a bit before heading home by about 3:30am.
We finally got to sleep after 46 hours of being awake. A few hours later we woke up and looked at each other, and just decided, "what the fuck, let's do it!" So we jumped up, used the neighbours computer to book our flights, and just over an hour later we were on a flight to Melbourne.
By the time we arrived, had some food, found some transport and the venue, it was only a couple of hours until the gig. So we sat down in the beer garden for a bit and relaxed. Not long after that, Ben walked up and asked if it was us. It was really lovely to meet him, he was so sweet. So we chatted to Ben and then met his friend, Chris. Chris was a blast!
We then ran into Emma and had a bit of a chat before we took off and went into the venue. Let me just say, this show blew ALL the others out of the water!. it was just amazing. One of the greatest shows.
I got completely crushed by Lesbians, and poor Ben was also surrounded by horny lezzos dying for a piece of Louise.
Then, for the encore, Louise and Eva walked back onto the stage without Stephen and Miley and dedicated Level 7 to Joshua and I! It was soooooo great.
We went and hung backstage afterwards and chatted heaps to Emma. She is one crazy cat! I look forward to her emo/rap hybrid album.
Afterwards, Ben very kindly drove us back to Chris' house where we drank and ate KFC. By this point I was so tired that I was *actually* falling asleep while sitting up.
We hung around there until it was time to head back to the airport at 8am, then we landed back in Newie.
