Opening the door carefully in case Boo isn't up yet, he steps inside and shuts it just as quietly. He goes to the bedroom first and smiles, relieved, when he sees Boo still asleep.
He can smell the coffee, and needs some aspirin, but heads for the living area first, looking for Kate.
"Hey."
He's tired, and has a lot on his mind, but he still finds a smile for her.

Her pen stills over the paper when Bill walks in; she looks up and returns the smile with a soft one of her own.
"Morning, handsome."

He sits on the edge of the cushion and glances towards the bedroom before looking back at Kate.
"How's she sleepin'?"

She gives his knee a gentle squeeze.
"You were up early."
