On a sadder note

  Josh just found out that one of his old buddies shot himself to death today.

How do I comfort him?

He is in a state of shock.

He's lost a best friend to a situation like this before... thinking it was suicide but it turned out it wasn't.

He's vunerable, but a guy... so how do I approach this?

offer to talk about it, but if he doesn't want to, don't push too hard.
take him to the service if he would like to go.
light a candle, say a prayer, etc.
