i wish it was not in my nature to accept every idea just for the sake of it. there's not even a moral explanation behind it. isn't it false advertising to claim that your god takes humanity as they are, no strings attached? there are conditions: a human must personally accept this higher power and know this higher power. it's not unconditional. we ( Read more... )

thats an awesome verse. i dont know. sometimes the things i read in the bible scare me. for fear of not only myself but other people.

sometimes i read things that scare me too. but i think that's just us not being able to understand how god works.

it's not that you're missing the point. i mean, we all miss the point most of, if not all the time. god sees your heart. so if you're trying your hardest to comprehend him and how he wants us to live, then you're in the right place and things will reveal themselves to you slowly.
but it's that wrestling and deep internal struggle that really makes our faith our own and not that of someone else imposed upon us. it's just like jacob. that's what the name israel means: god-wrestler.

how are you doing over there in college land?
