34. Welcome to City University -- From the Campus Police

Aug 24, 2010 15:31

Hello, students, and welcome back to City U. Or maybe welcome to cos I reckon some of you must be first years. I'm Constable Chris Skelton with the Campus Police. Now, were not here to ruin your time or sommat so you shouldn't ruin ours. Were here to help you, really, cos no-one wants their room on fire or their laptop stolen, probably.

So there are some rules you should probably know first off, even though there are some more that can be accessed on the University Website link this bit - mindless prats wouldn't bother typing it in themselves if their lives depended on it. But its important to remember that all of this is for your own safety! And to stop you wasting our time!

-Make sure you lock your door when you go out! Don't leave it open for your roommate to get back or prop open doors of your residence cos you'll end up letting strangers into res and that's unsafe. Stuff could end up stolen, and things could be broken and someone might even get hurt.

-No alcohol in the hallways or common areas. Don't want people stumbling about the hallway. And if your legal, drink responsibly when you do. Or we'll just confiscate the lot of it.

-Don't go setting fires. Might seem like common sense, that, but that means no candles or other burny things neither cos you might set your room on fire and you probably definitely will set off the fire alarm. and guess who has to deal with it?

-Take the safest path home instead of the quickest path. Well-travelled areas and lit-up places and that.

Anyway, if you see any shady activities or crimes going on around you, don't hesitate about calling us. It's best for everyone's safety. Also, contact us if you've any other questions. Don't contact us unless you have to. Your only wasting your own time. And more importantly ours.

The on-campus extension for the police is 60078 and on-campus emergency number is 3000.

[ooc: Bold is Ray editing it. Chris just posted it through without looking. Use this post for...actually asking Chris questions, or orchestrating some sort of campusy crime to go down, or calling in an emergency during the curse or just seeing your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman Campus Constable patrolling and saying hi to him. Of course, try the same with Ray and you'll get nowhere near the same reaction. Godmod either of them into being almost anywhere, we don't mind.]

made of derp, cursed, being a copper, police constable today, never finished school, chris almost being effective, in big letters, ray is "helpful"
