Real friendship is like railroad tracks. They take a lot of work to lay down. They last a very long time. Even when they are unused, they can be lost from sight under dust and debris, but underneath all of it, the railroad tracks are still there.
Friendship, for me, is very much the same way. Wow this is hard for me to write out... which is why I've taken so long to post this.
