Ok so I promised people an update, and here it is...
First I would just like to say that i'm doing this update at 2 in the morning because there is a raging storm outside. And we're not talking like "Ahhh, what a relaxing summer storm.", we're talking like "OK THIS IS GETTING A BIT MUCH" kinda storm. I feel like i'm in a scary movie and it makes me wish I was 6 again and able to sleep in my parents room till it was over. Alas..here I lay, with my giant stuffed dog being a coward under my blanket. lol lord I need to grow up.
Anyway, on with the update.
( When i wrote that, the loudest crack of thunder i've ever heard in my life just almost burst my ear drum.)
Moving on...
Ok so most people know that I had my back surgery a little over a month ago, and minus the worst pain ever, ever, ever in my whole entire life...it went rather well. I'd go into more detail, but frankly i'm tired of telling the story at this point, so i'll give you a fast run down.
* I'm 2 inches taller now.
* Yes, I sit/stand really straight, and if you see me, don't comment on it, I get that enough
* Recovery takes about 10 months, so I have 9 months to go
* Until then I cannot..Bend at the waist, twist, lift anything over 10 lbs, run, jump, etc...
* I feel about 99.9% back to myself
And moving on again...
So for the most part I haven't really been doing anything with my life. I should probably get a job at the movie theater with Chris, but frankly...i'm lazy. Plus I figure, i've worked really hard for the past 5 years, since I got my first job, I think I deserve a little down time. Although I have to admit, I kinda miss work. Hmm... anyway, so i've been hanging out with Shugs a lot, we basically run around and do a whole lot of nothing except feed our faces, or lay by her pool, which is always a good time. The rest of my summer, I'd really like to go to my dads house for a few extra weeks, mostly because he's out of town a lot and i'd have his place to myself, PLUS I'd really like to take a little road trip down to VA to see my Bestfriend ever in the whole wide world, Al, that I miss so incredibly much, and my dad's the only parent that would let me take that trip, so.. Hm, plus July 17th I leave to go to Oregon for the family reunion, which is really small this year because flying to Oregon is frick'n expensive!! But I'm REALLY excited, it should be a really relaxing trip and I get to spend some QT with my two little cousins Chris and Ash who I never get to see but used to see all the time and they seriously used to be like my little bro's and sis's. Not to mention...Oregon..god it's just plain beautiful. I seriously cannot describe how amazing it is out there. I love it.
What else to talk about..?
Oh, well I saw the new Bewitched movie. And before I go into the details of that, I would just like to say that I have been a Bewitched fan for as long as I can remember. I named my cat after Samantha's daughter on the show when I was in 3rd grade, I have a horribly mortifying story of a name change in 4th grade, and ya know what else? I can twitch my nose like it's nobody's business. So naturally when I heard they were making Bewitched a movie I was just SO excited. But then I started thinking-could they really do justice to a show I have loved for YEARS. Well the answer to that question is deff NO. Bewitched was the worst movie I have ever seen, and I think was the most disrespectful thing they could have ever done to Elizabeth Montgomery. The only good thing that came from the movie- the fact that it pushed for Bewitched to come out on DVD. Which I own. And love. And watched every single night till I fell asleep. Gah, so good.
That was a random little rant wasn't it?
I'm not realy sure what else there is to talk about...I've started playing around with my 35mm camera again, which is exciting, and led me on a trip down to Pittsburgh the other day. I think I got some really beautiful shots of Pittsburgh. Another thing i've taken up again was guitar. Not that I ever really played it, but in middle school we had a music appreciate class, which was nothing but us playing guitar for an entire semester. I loved that class and did SO amazingly well..I should have stuck with it.
OH! I know, we'll talk about today!
So, today was the 4th of July...well ok actually YESTERDAY was the 4th of July but you get my idea. So I woke up at like..12?!?! Which I hate because my whole day's basically shot to hell. But I got up rather quickly and showered, and as I'm getting out of the shower, I hear Hunter (my dog) FREAKING out, so I throw on the most random outfit ever and walk into the hallway and this random friend of the family's just kinda chillen outside the house looking for my stepdad. No one was home, and he already spotted me so I had to invite him in, and make chit-chat till the rents got home. Then I got ready and went to Mars, and my old house, and then over to my (former :-( ) neighbors house for their 4th of July party, and we played DDR, and kinda hung out, had some really good food etc etc...then I came back to Bradford Woods...I don't know why really..lol, then drove BACK to Mars, stopped over at Shugs house for a brief moment, then came back to my house in Mars where my Mom, Scott and all of our NEW neighbors were at havingn a bonfire. ANNNND KEVIN was there :-D. Yup, it's tradition, we spend every 4th of July together. So we hung out around the bonfire (Mars style of course, big and hot) and layed on the "Chick Blanket" as my neighbor called it. And it was really just a good time, I REALLY miss spending time with Kev. Everyone played with Sparklers...Kev tried to light me on fire, and Cindy (my new neighbor) tried lighting everyone else on fire with her run away sparkler that rolled down my entire driveway. Finally at 10 the fireworks started, so Kev and I layed on the "Chick Blanket", and watched the fireworks. Which I might add are set off almost directly behind my old house so they are MASSIVE and beautiful. That is one thing I will really miss about that house. :-( Oh, and everytime the "Crackeling" fireworks went off, Kev got an attitude and said "There's your crackling fireworks Britt......" 'cause they're my fav, and it was really random but it made me laugh. And then pretty much right after the fireworks ended everyone got up and left....pretty much.
Ok, so I think that's all for now, PLUS the storm has finally stopped. And i'm going to try and fall asleep quickly incase another storm comes along and hopefully I will just sleep through it.
