Birthday Bashes
I apologise for not doing any serious blogging since 28 April. There were actually many, many, many events that had happened since then but those were just trivial activities (SYF.. JB.. etc.) that millions of people have already done or blogged abt too. Tho i wud love to relate my exciting experience at the Young Achiever's Seminar but since i've sub-consciously signed a confidential doc so i shud just keep my mouth shut abt it.

Full of them this yr, not surprising since the rats are all celebrating their 21st yr of survival. Here are 2 parties i went to recently..

Saw this cute-&-adorable fat penguin while shopping for Libing's bday present. It was just a must to get my hands on, but a soft toy for her 21st bday? Well, it's personalised with her name ard the penguin's neck. Even the shopkeeper thought it was cute-&-adorable.

The warmest 21st bday party i've been to this yr.
It was like a sauna tho it was open-air. Maybe it was the hot crowd?
Super packed. Even Libing confessed she under-estimated the no. of chairs to provide.
Everyone was perspiring profusely, using one hand to hold on to the plate of food and the other to hold another plate for fanning purposes.
Winnie the Pooh Cake? Yum-Yum. With a pot of honey? Double Yum-Yum.

Woke up with a very bad diarrhea & toothache. Kept consuming western & eastern medicine alternatively to remain alive. It was only until 4pm when i'm well enough to start making a bday card for Kelly. Panic Panic!

Met up with Yuankai (so long never meet up le!) at City Hall, 6:30pm and off we marched to Swissotel, Minto Rm where Kelly's holding her 21st Bday celebration.
Ambience of Minto was excellent. Cosy. Great view of City Hall - Suntec & Esplanade. bla bla bla.. Basically it was a perfect place for such a memorable event.

Kachang Puteh for early birds to munch munch munch..
Drinks were served by waiters who stood-by, ever-ready to assist the guests in anyway possible.

About 30 or so were invited only (mainly the nut gang, pri, jc & uni mates) so it was indeed a highly exclusive party. All of us were told to wear formally i.e. pRoM wEaR~

[7pm] Our guest of honour was still nowhere to be seen..
Everyone's just busy chatting, doing some catching up since many of us havent meet up for ages. Some were rehearsing their performances for the bday gal. Organisers (frens of Kelly) going ard making sure things were going smoothly. The emcees were also warming up. The guestbook was occupied at all times.
It was this busy for the next hr or so before...
Finally! The arrival of our princess of the night! Kelly!

The party kicked off with a performance by Kelly's pri sch mates where they danced to the bday gal's fav song. Very entertaining. Kelly must have been so touched to have such great pals.
Later, all the guys went up to the stage in groups, blindfolded, and dance to wadeva music that was played. The emcees randomly chose songs & altered the tempo. Yeap it was embarrassing for us but it was pure entertainment for the ladies & of cos, our bday gal.
Well, it was the gals' turn next.. Muhahah..
Ever seen gals in a trance, dancing hysterically?
Both Yuting (a.k.a. HappeningNut) & Charissa (a.k.a. CocoNut) must've received honourable mention for their enthusiasm & terrific trance dance moves. *Clap! Clap!*
Now we know why Yuting was nicknamed HappeningNut..
Up next, a M18 game with obvious reason: you gotta swing ur BaNaNa to achieve a Hole-in-1, hopefully. Sounds crude? It definitely looked fun to the spectators.

Soon to follow, we had the dancing-on-newspaper (btw newspapers donated by our J Lo lookalike Huipei) game where a couple wud dance on a sheet of newspaper and as time progressed, it was halved & halved till there's a need to tip-toe or even for some carrying to be done. The last couple standing, and dancing, wud win. Simple as that.
But.. wad if the "couple" were at loggerheads? Well, we have Kaiqi (a.k.a. HazelNut) & Jumpy quarreling & complaining while dancing happily to the beats. It was hilarious to look at them.
While others were crazily dancing away, Huipei & Yuankai had definitely stratified on how to fold the newspaper wisely.
Angelin (a.k.a. PeaNut) & Diying (a.k.a. NakedNut) joined another 2 guys to form the rest of the dancing couples.

Last but not least we have the "bachelorette" game where 5 guys were chosen for some R21 performance. No further explanation needed, they danced sexily to the music.. Tuo diao.. Tuo diao..

To end it off, the 5 guys had to propose to Kelly. By then, all the gals wud've decided which of the guys received the various awards such as "Mr. Nice Abs", "Mr. Cute Butt" & "Mr. Ooh La La"

It was not the end yet. A powerpoint presentation was shown, done by Kelly's fren whose name i cant rem. It was really touching, to both the bday gal & her frens. Must be after all the fun activities, the current dimly-lit rm ambience, and the soothing music..
We saw photos of her when she was still a baby celebrating her 1st bday.. photos of her pri sch days, jc days.. uni days.. When a photo of the notti me pulling her hair was shown i was so stunned. Kelly turned back and we just laughed it off.
Then the Bday cake was brought in.. And the usual Bday song was sung..
