AnthroCon! + Pictures
I'm just going to copy-pasta from my FA journal-
I returned Monday from AC and I have to say I had a great time! I was severely missing my kitties and home, so I ended up leaving Monday instead of Tuesday... but I almost liked it better that way because then I got to have AirportCon with the people I didn't see much of at the convention! :D
It's been 6 years since I last went to AC. It has grown tremendously since then. I don't know that I'll be doing that convention again. Honestly, it was just so big and it was hard to see everyone that I would have liked. Also, Pittsburgh is a pretty dirty city and I hate how a lot of the fast food closes after lunch :| I'm looking into maybe doing RF or MFF or FWA next time instead!

It was fabulous to get to see raspberryroo again and help her with her panel! Though I'm sad we didn't see each other much else outside of that! And I got to spend some time with kkitty23, though most of it was at the airport haha! Sad that I didn't get to spend much time with skulldog this con either cause she is hilarious
I made some cool new friends too as well as seeing some peeps I haven't seen in ages :3 Mostly huskie666 albino-kitsune akonite quicksilver_x astralabortion umumum and I'm sure there's many others and I'm sorry if I forgot your FA name and left you out ;____;
Also, air nomads do not approve of The Priory Hotel and their no alcohol policy. Don't stay there :| It is a bad eastern air temple.

Ok NOW. Let's take a moment to discuss proper ways to behave socially :| aka How To Not Be A Stranger Danger
On Saturday night I was sitting outside with my friends, who left to go to our hotel. As soon as they rounded the corner, some furry dude crept up on me and sat down in my bubble of space. He proceeded to carry on this uncomfortable conversation:
Stranger Danger: Hi
Me: Hey
SD: I'm *insert name*
Me: I'm Ashley or Mala
SD: ...am I bothering you?
Me: No you're fine
SD: How are you doing?
Me: I'm good, just tired
SD: Oh you're tired? Do you want to go back to my room?
Me: No, that's ok. My friends just went to get the car so they could come get me since our hotel's far away
SD: Oh............ so are you single?
Me: No, I'm taken
SD: The beautiful ones are always taken
Me: Yeeeeah
SD: Especially the ones like you
Me: ......heh
SD: ........so does your boyfriend understand your furry-ness?
Me: Yeah he's actually a furry too, he just doesn't come to the cons anymore
SD: ah................................... so you're sure you're not single?
Me: I'm sure :|
This was full of long pauses inbetween where I was trying to give off the "goawaygoawaygoaway" vibe, but apparently it was not working :| It took the dude some time before he went away and I was thankful when he did. Malas are meek and timid and do not like uncomfortable situations. I'm also too god damn nice to tell people to fuck off :|
I did not let it ruin my con though. Lesson learned, don't hang around without your ~pack~
