A goal for study

There is a field of study that underlies information theory. It supports linguistics. It drives religion, and it explains science. It guides unwitting marketers, newsies, and other world leaders. It is the Philosopher's Stone of the modern information age and possibly many ages past. It is the study of pure ideas. It is the study of human perception and of the complexes of thought in human mind and through culture. It is the study of how those individual and social complexes create ideas, how they communicate them, and ultimately why they accept or reject ideas communicated. It is the study of how these pure ideas grow and flourish at a macro scale through time in human endeavor.

I don't know if this field has a name. I don't know if it's being studied or if it's even been identified yet as a discrete field of study. That, however, is the field that I want to master. I want to understand ideas.

education, religion, society, communication, ideas, politics, philosophy, leadership, languages
