Busy Busy

It's been a crazy-busy week since I last posted. Work work work on Tuesday and Wednesday, then a long drive late Wednesday night up to northeast Tennessee to see my mother and younger siblings. They seem to be doing well. The weekend was basically relaxing, though I was a bit sad that I didn't feel comfortable calling my father for Thanksgiving in front of my mother. Saturday was the drive back home followed by a late evening at the LARP I play in (whose webpage I don't have handy here at work). That made for quite a nice evening. Sunday (after getting up late, of course) was a wonderful day relaxing with radiantbaby.

On the reading front I finished Thesmophoriazusae and began (re-began, technically, since I started it once a long time ago but got distracted bt life) The Illuminatus! Trilogy. Sunday relaxing with radiantbaby included a trip to Barnes & Noble, where I briefly interrupted Illuminatus! by buying and reading some books from the sexuality section -- a rather sizeable side of my life that I give virtually no treatment here on my journal. I'm not sure yet if I want to change that habit. Hrm.

Anyway, Monday was back to work and then discussion at tc_borderpagans. Sometimes discussions out there can get a little pedantic -- I'm as much to blame for that as anyone (another topic I've been thinking about a bit lately and probably ought to post about sometime) -- but this one really had none of that. It was quite pleasant, and it was doubly nice because I got to hang out with some people I hadn't seen in a while. All in all a good evening, though it left me a little tired for today.

Work's going well. At a meeting today parts of it became much more clearly defined for me, which is nice as I felt some of them had been a little underclarified in the past. And here I am finishing up my day with a nice relaxing post to LJ before going home to my weekly Date Night with radiantbaby.

I'm content.
