(no subject)
It was beautiful today, well actually it was kind of gray but it was mid 50s and the snow is finally melting like crazy, it felt beautiful. I woke up with a miserable migraine made it through class and took a walk through the property in a t-shirt and flip-flops; possibly not the best idea considering that while there is now wide patches of newly exposed grass there are also still areas with three foot snow banks. No, it was worth it anyway, I even noticed a few spring blooms trying to push their way through the soft ground. Perhaps if I can keep myself present long enough I'll remember to go out and check again in a few days to see if they have bloomed. It's rarely still light by the time I get home but the days really are lasting so much longer, it was hardly more than a month ago when I looked out my office window at 4:30 and was honestly surprised to find that it was not dark; thank goodness for little mercies i guess.... The walk and pain killers left me feeling a bit more human but the pain would quite go away so I spoiled myself with lunch, reading and napping. Regretfully I noticed two hours to late that I had missed church, not really the best way to start off a lent I'm already feeling weary about. We'll see what happens. A lot seems to be changing so, yeah....
