So I've started my path to Japanese.
This new DS game, my Japanese Coach, is quite interesting. I'm a big fan of Japanese culture but I feel that I'm always a step behind because I never understood the language. And that is depressing at times because sometimes, when I talk to my online sweetheart, he swears to me in Japanese and I just can't figure out what he's saying... if he's telling me "AI RABU YOU" or "BAKAYAROU".
Recently, I went to a vegetable shop owner and I asked if the owner is around since he promised me some grease that I can use for Gola's hinges. So I said to the owner "ONA NI IMA-SU KA?" And the lady slapped me hard. That was painful. I just asked if the owner was around. I believe I did nothing wrong. Or did I? I think I did. I obviously need some help. ヽ(;´Д`)ノ
So I bought this DS game right after that slapping. It seems fun. I wasn't so bad. I skipped to level 2 since I pretty much know how to say Hi and Hello in Japanese. I didn't know you didn't pronounce anime as ANIMAY. It's a lot clearer and concise.
I still firmly believe that I need some major Japanese lessons. My nihongo is dai dame. I need to be tasukete'd if I want to get some clients going. Major tasukete. Do you guys know anyone who can give me some decent lessons? I'm in daipinch right now. (´・ω;`)
PS.
On a totally unrelated note, I miss my online sweetheart. I sent him mail that I'm here in Namimori now but he hasn't replied yet. *sighs* I believe this merits a trip to Akiba and Starbucks. I kanji sabishii... ・゚・(つД`)・゚・
