[005 ♟ The plot thickens...]

[ It's apparent the communicator has switched on by itself again... Anybody looking will see a simple, empty room, the only visible furniture being a swivel chair with a khaki safari vest on it, a single bed and nighstand, with an unlit lamp, his inmate's file, and an empty bottle on it. John comes into view in the process of putting a white shirt on, then picks up the safari vest, checking up on various items inside each pocket, among them a lighter, a switchblade, and a couple packs of assorted nuts. ]
[ He sighs and leans back on the bed, sorting through the pages of his inmate's file. He keeps pressing his lips or bringing a hand to the side of his face, worriedly. Some time later, he puts the file aside and gets to his feet, slipping into the vest and opening the door of his room and then... whatever he sees there PANICS John, as evidenced by him stopping right on his tracks and jumping a step back, all tensed up, and making a little "whoa" sound ]
[ Later, voice ]
[ In all these messages he'll sound shaken, and doing a poor job of hiding it. ]
This cannot be just a sick joke. I heard about past malfuctions of the Barge, basically... floods, without a warning. Has anyone heard from the Admiral about this? And [ trying to toss the question casually ] has anything been reported wrong with the CES?

I heard you earlier. It didn't... seem like the best moment, and I trust you're not very happy. But if you want to, we can meet up to discuss your file sometime. Can take you to the pub now.
