Well. I haven't been here for a day, and already, I sense it- I think we all do- this place has its moments.
But one can't stay here forever. I made a deal..., as have many of you, if I'm correct. [ his voice sounds as though he's smiling ] And I've the feeling it's much easier said than done, huh?
I'm impatient, I have to admit. To know what

I shall be up with a pot of water and pick your tea on the spot! That's the best way to steep herbs.
Do you startle easy?

Why, I guess not? Chances are I've seen worse.

Hullo?

Hey! I'm impressed. Is that inherent to you? Or did you learn it?

[She sets the tea service on the little wrought iron table and lifts the teapot lid. Minty steam.]

A psychonaut, as in, you can access people's minds and stuff? I hope you don't think I'm rude. It's just very out of the ordinary where I come from.
[He breaths in the mint tea deeply, waits a little before drinking it. ]
So. How'd you end up here?

You're not rude! You're curious! I prefer curious. What people know, what becomes familiar, is more likely to be comforting rather than what's strange and unexplained. I'm here to work with you and the others and without some trust, where are we?

[ He sips in some tea for a little silence. He's not sure if he can trust this much in return - the past's made him wary. ]
Then again, they're the ones giving out our chance, aren't they. You're noble of wishing to rebuild your London. It's... selfless.

[It isn't selfless; London broke because they broke it, however unintentionally. Her eyes flicker briefly, but then she finds her smile again.]
Selflessness isn't selfless when you realize how we're all connected. My "me" is bigger than my skin. If you can perceive it, things become much simpler.
I could show you, but it would be a little odd.

[ The ghost of a smile flickers in his expression, reaching his eyes first. What Arkady just say evokes something familiar, he did feel that way back at the island, his island. ]
No, no - I know what you mean. I also think it, that we're all connected, and somehow - interwined as well. Just never... put it into words. Not much anyway. But realizing it makes everything fall in place.
[ At the last part, he just stares on, not daring to say anything about something he obviously doesn't know. ]

I can put it into words, but sending telepathic images is easier. But it takes some getting used to.

Sending images over at my head like an instant message? [ At first he chuckles amusedly, but it turns into a frown when he realizes it may not be the first time. ]
