Out of the country- just barely

Writing this on the iPad in Toronto. Came with my mom who was bent on visiting here for some reason. We left on fri and a coming home tomorrow (sun). The two days on the end are pretty much 12 hour traveling days, sinc we flew out of Minneapolis, but the couple of days in between have been packed with riding the subway back and forth from our major points of interest. We saw the Toronto islands. They were a lot of fun and would be great to take the kids to someday. We made it to the Toronto lds temple which was nice becaus i havent been to the temple for a long while, and we ate lunch in the CN Tower. The food was really good and it was the best seat in the city. He restaurant spins ever so slowly so you can get a full 360 view of the city.
It's a nice city. I would've liked to have come with Fred, and maybe will even come with everybody someday. It feels pretty safe and the public transportation is very very good. There are quite a few interesting things to see and do up here. The people are very multicultural and helpful/nice. The one bad thing has been the Internet, which is pretty much only available in the lobby. That combined wit ha two hour grime difference means staying up late to "chat" with Fred via multiple emails.
I has been nice to be away from the kids and the house. Though I love them I do need to get away now and then. Plus it's fun to use my passport. I don't think my mom had ever been out of the country. Maybe his was a test run for her. Next time she'll be insisting we got to Ireland or something, which is fine by me --- as long Fred gets to come and we stay for a least a week. :)
