So, my tooth got pulled last Thursday. Never had any problems with my teeth before, so this was a first. Have to say it's probably one of my weirdest experiences so far too. I was pretty scared of the anesthetic, because everyone always says how much it hurts when they give you the injection, so yeah, I was worried. But it wasn't so bad. But, dude, it's weird. I felt nothing! Which is of course what you want to accomplish with an anesthetic, but still. I didn't feel anything. I can't get over how weird it is knowing that someone is stuffing all kind of tools in your mouth and practically abusing it, and you can't feel anything.
Totally freaked out a bit more when my dentist starting saying over and over how stuck my tooth was. Hello! Not very reassuring! Especially since he'd been talking about how it might be stuck in the bone or crumble to pieces right before he started working on it, which in both cases would mean I'd have to go to a surgeon. Yikes!
But fortunately my tooth decided to cooperate and it came out in one piece! I was so relieved. It pretty much wasn't until then that I saw that my mom had gotten all white in the face and was about ready to pass out. Poor mom! Must be tough to see your daughter being tortured! So glad she was there though. Would have totally wet my pants if she hadn't been there to hold my hand. Yes, I'm that much of a chicken!
In other news, since my tooth has been removed the headache that I'd been having for a month and a half has disappeared too, which is completely awesome. I was about to call the doctor, but now I'm all fine! So next time I have a long lasting headache it would probably be better to go see a dentist. How random am I?!
Also, last bit of real life news, I feel like I'm finally getting through the shitload of things I had to do for school. I can almost start focusing on one thing at a time again. Only thing there's left to do is write a motivational letter for the Master Program I want to follow after I get my Bachelor Degree, which is in approximately two months. How awesome is that!
