Why do they make a totally frustrating love story end horribly!?
You wait for most of the movie for them to get together, they finally do, and less than a minute later (literally) he's crushed by falling bricks.

All of my hopes for tonight have been crushed!
Sally Lockhart mysteries are supposed to end well. I mean, I guess this one did, what with pregnancy and all, but it's hard to focus on because your heart is still going, "NOOOO! WHY FRED!? WHYYYY!?"
And the dog dies, too.
It's pretty lame. I wanted romance! =(
