I tend to write when things are sucking
For which I'm terribly sorry-- I'll try to write more on the good days.
So, today I should probably just shut up.
I'll say a few of the nicer things though:
-- Bought some new make-up. I've been out for a while, but I haven't really had anyone or anything to put it on for. I did full make-up for the heck of it on Saturday, even though I was just going out to return library books and stuff. The guy at the video store said my eyes looked "amazing." Haha, world-- parts of me CAN be attractive.
-- Kelly called yesterday, and we talked for an hour about her pregnant-ness. She's really excited, and I'm happy for her. =) She'll be a great mom-- and her husband is so cute with her. I love it. I also found out that another one of my friends is engaged-- and I approve a little more this time, as this particular friend isn't just getting married for the sex aspect, like the other one. It's weird though... personally, I'm not even THINKING about getting married yet. My friends say that they're getting married because they've already found who they want to be with forever... can you even KNOW that at 18? In Persepolis there's a line that fits what I'm thinking: "It's easy to love someone three hours a day." I don't think they know what they're getting into, but I'm happy for them, regardless. Sometimes I wish I were that lucky-- to have someone who wanted me that way. But, that might be asking too much, looking back on all my previous romantic endeavors.
-- My boss complimented me today. That doesn't happen very often. Erik and I were the only two scanners who showed up for "center main"-- six doors, two people. David, my boss, said I handled the rush like a pro, and I was the only person who had no trouble with the print-at-home tickets. (We just started offering that option-- they really are horrible, but if you hold the scanner a certain distance away from the ticket, it works pretty well.) I was quite pleased... it's nice to hear that you're doing well.
I'm feeling really tired, so I'm going to stop at that for now. I have some things I need to deal with later that I'm not looking forward to... but, they need to be taken care of.
