Jurassic World, the Bechdel Test and fake geek boys
Jurassic World: loved it. Boom! Crash! "Containment anomaly" is my new favorite phrase.
The Bechdel Test consists of three rules.
The movie must:
1. Have two or more women
2. Who have a conversation
3. About something other than a man or men.
Jurassic World was so close. It had:
1. Four female dinosaurs
2. Who had a conversation
3. About eating the men behind them.
In the fake geek boy category, I today found myself explaining why all the dinosaurs in the franchise were female, except for that time they weren't because frogs.
