On the pitfalls of falsies

Gardening, opening cans of sugar free redbull and peeling children out of  swimwear is not compatible with having false nails... even short ones. Stupid crappy glue.

helkaahaien  you inspired me to do some weeding in the front garden =) I hope you got on well with your gardening too.

I've managed to somehow keep myself occupied today and maybe in an hour or ( Read more... )

lol I hope she didn't make things too hard for you? I'm sure the garden looks great =) trouble is when you start doing stuff like that you see a million other things that need doing =/

Our ball game got ended early because I got attacked by like two giant bees >.< then she got hold of a some chicken bones so I had to take them (out of her mouth!) and then some other dog slipped its leash to try and get to my dog and ran into the road but luckily no dogs were harmed in the making of this post =)

she always makes things difficult but that's just her ^.^ I don't know if you know but my daughter is special needs so we have to do everything for her. Its a lot of work but makes the little things mean so much more!

Sorry about the ball game! I almost got stung myself when I was working in the yard. Didn't see a wasp nest near me and ya, got pretty close. Sounds like you had a crazy day though, my dog's way to lazy for anything, he just lays in the sun while I work! everyone's afraid of him so he doesn't get to much outside attention (he's like 100lbs of baby)

I had read that on one of your entries somewhere, what is it that she suffers from? You don't have to tell me of course, I won't mind if you don't want to or something seeing as it's none of my business lol.

OMG wasps eep! Lucky they left you alone =) I got stung like 3 times last year so now I'm very wary of stingy things. Haha he's a teddy bear like mine then =) I love teddy bear dogs they're the greatest. Mine is afraid of the baby lmfao xxx

I don't mind telling people at all, its how I cope with it. When I was pregnant we were in a really bad car accident that put me and my daughter in the hospital for a month. Cause of that she has a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) along with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and failure to thrive. She's been in therapy since she was born which has helped us a lot and now goes to a special needs school. They've helped her learn how to hold her head up and eat mushy and semi-solid foods. She's like an infant though and can't do anything herself, her only way of communication is sounds and screams so I get on edge a lot. I will admit though, even with all the negatives around her she's always so happy and omg do I love her smile!

Now I do watch out for anything that stings! I've had my share of stings and avoid them like the plague! i do love big teddy bear does too! Always had a big dog that just loved to cuddle! he's not afraid of the baby though, he's terrified of water though!

Aww =( you must have been so scared in the hospital. How old is she now? It's great that she's so happy and that shows how much she loves her mama =) That's so much pressure on you <3

Really, water? Mine loves nothing more than to dig in puddles or chase the tide.

honestly I didn't know what to do. I myself had a TBI, collapsed lungs and a shattered hip. I just did what I do, stay positive and push through it. It took me a year but I proved all the doctors wrong by walking again and not using my cane at all. She's got my stubbornness too so its probably why she's doing so well. Its a lot of pressure but honestly what other choice do I have than to suck it up? it gets to me and I honestly should see a therapist about it but I don't have the time or the money. I think thats why I work so much, its my get away.

and yes he hates water. wont go in wet grass, out when its raining, hates baths, and only drinks it. he's the only dog I've ever had that doesn't like it, but I still gotta love the baby boy.

That's true, us mamas don't have the luxury of freaking out about stuff because we're too busy! It's so great that you can walk unaided, I can't imagine how much more difficult it'd be to take care of a child using a cane.

for 6months I took care of her from my wheelchair but hey you manage. I think its definitely a mom's thing to just suck it up and deal. After all we know the guy isn't gonna do it (I just told my husband I was going to cut the grass and he jumped out of bed to do it cause the child had woken up from her nap)

oh and before I forgot you asked her age, she's 3 now ^.^

What your husband just did is totally something I'd have done when mine was newborn. No way could I have coped like you did... I was only just holding it together as it was.

I think its natural for them, we take care of the kids they take care of everything but the kid :p

He watches her all day every day while I'm at work though so I understand he needs a break, its just funny to watch him rush to yard work.

I think you would have done the same things I have. I know my stubborn personality helped out a lot but either way after while you get really annoyed with having to have people help you with everything... and I mean literally everything, you do. It just makes you try to do it so they dont come. I do have to say though, not being able to move your hips really makes you appreciate things, I never noticed how much we use them.

Ugh yes the people helping sounds ironically unhelpful!

Haha like a genetics thing. I guess when my husband is off work I get him to do more for her so I get a little time to coast.
