I'm so glad that happy things are happening cause it's 9 days till my birthday so I have a right to be happy and excited.

Two things for now before I go back to doing homework:

1) EGO BOOST continued: Okay, so you know the teacher that told me that I was impressing the hell out of her? We get back the test today and I got a 92 (GO ME!) and I have an advising meeting with her. I think (but other people have told me otherwise) that one of my honors classes will be cancelled due to lack of interest. Which, you know, sucks. So I was telling her and she signed me up for Aylor's Issues and Arguments (which...hello...is full) and was all "Just be...veeeeeery quiet if you get in" and I'm all ::heart having chair of the program as my advisor:: So then we're talking about what I do on campus and I tell her I work 10 hours and she basically offers me a job working for her. I'd be working for the Chair of the Communication Department. Doing data entry and looking for literature readings but still. She's like "We can talk" but that'd be so cool. And then she continues to tell me that she's so happy with how I'm doing cause she totally doesn't think I'm a sophomore and calls me grounded and stuff like that. YES!

2) Hellloooooo travel plans: Project Mapendo meeting is tonight and we found out that we will not be going on the Sarenghetti (spelling and also boo) but we find out that we will be going to Zanzibar. According to one of the leaders it's one of the seven wonders of the world although I can't find any documentation that says that and I know it's not the ancient world or anything. However it's an island right off the coast of Dar es Salaam and we're going there for our culture trip between two things of service. It's known for it's beaches, diving, reefs and just...gorgeousness. Check out these photos from the tourism website : http://zanzibar.net/zanzibar/image_gallery/natural_splendour

I'm exciiiiiitteeeeeed!

3) Boogie till we just can't boogie no more: Yeah...Honors Formal on my birthday. So excited to wear my pretty AWESOME dress and dance the night away!
