well....at least lea and i have power........!!
hey there folks....
at about 730 last night lea and i got our power back on. sad to say, but the power company cut the line at the pole to momma and pops house, so they are still without power and tied to the generator. looks like they wont be getting power at least until next wednesday.
but hey...at least we have power so momma and pop can come over (which they arent...geez....stubborn!) and take a shower.
the area is still a disaster....weve had to cancel shows for the next two weeks...so we are scrambling at the theatre to find work to do so we can all get a paycheck. weve got sweeney todd tonight and tomorrow night...then thats it (except the church on sundays) for a couple of weeks.
there are tons of folks without power...and the line crew that came out last night made no bones about telling me that they werent supposed to be out there at all, but were because of "a little girl in a wheelchair". nice. i know they are tired....but i grew up with pop gone in the winter and the summer when he worked at the power company. its totally your job dude.
ok...thats as snarky as i can get....because really....everyone is working their butts off up here...weve got crews even coming from louisiana to help...so i am totally appreciative.
