but Oh, those Sumter Nights!

I'm not sure if I haven't been updating because living life is so much easier when you don't have to look back or because I'm busy and when I have the chance, the last thing I want to do is livejournal when I can be Facebooking, O-teaming, or working on Project Revamp--not that I haven't multitasked and done them all at the same time before.

I saw my mom last week and we actually spent time together with only a smidgen of irritation. She never ceases to complicate my life, this time with 18 hour notice. Thank god I have amazing friends that were willing to sacrifice their time to fit her warped plans. <3 But, we had a bonding moment that cancels the more recent negativity with her. So, apparently I can drive...well, I might add. I'm going to do that license thing and I have my car lined up, so it may work this time. I still feel like such a loser because I'm so nervous to actually get the thing...driving isn't a problem, it's just the failure I fear.

O-team Update: We had a pretty substantial break but it feels kind of weird getting back into the swing of things though I'm really looking forward to it. Sometimes I think that I still have no idea what I'm doing even though I've done 10ish. It still feels like the first time every time because there are all new faces and you never know what to expect because there could be another 'orientation me' in the group who will be a complete distraction, but a good one. I just have to worry about those lines now...I ad-libbed last time and I don't think the muffled voice was too effective.

Project Revamp: Probably the only reason I wanted to update aside from making an appearance for myself to make sure when I eventually look back, I was there. Though, I've mentioned it before, I'm going to start from the beginning because so much has developed as a result.
*Formula: Boy hurts Girl.
Girl seeks Revenge.
Girl stumbles upon startling facts.
Girl develops a project to revamp the corruption.
Girl along with minions use their powers to thwart evil and save the world.
Mission Complete.
It sounds like sabotage, but that isn't the case. The original plan was to just be nice to rid myself of the animosity until 18 violations of the Code of Ethics arose and action needed to be taken. We get threatened to be fired for going to the on campus gym but a party bus filled with freshmen with the intent to get them drunk gets a slap on the wrist apparently. During the last staff meeting it was said that the next violation would result in termination. The next violation happened to include a message sent from the individual to a freshman stating: The party bus to Blue Room is leaving at this time, from this place, and you should go because there are better drink specials there, it's cheaper than local bars, if you're not 18/21--make sure to bring a good id, and I need someone to sit on the bus with. Let's dissect: Party bus-check. Organizing event to an alcohol laden place-check. Telling them to bring a fake id if necessary- check. Including self in the plans where freshmen are and alcohol is served-CHECK in the Immediate Termination box.

and I'm spent without doing much more than gathering data and overseeing...
