you gotta spend some time, Love...

It's so hot out and I love it! I've been waiting for summer all year. I can't believe it's in the 90's though. Rochester never gets as hot as I'd like it to but things are finally going my way. There was the coolest thunderstorm the other night. Aaron and I were in my car returning from Glen's house (we had the snakes sexed.) There were bits of trees all over the expressway and lightning and rain so heavy cars were pulled off on the side of the road with their flashers. We went right through and pretty much pretended we were storm chasers. At least I did.

So the snakes, well for those out of the loop, Aaron and I have 3 snakes. We started out with a tiny lavendar corn snake. They are the easiest to take care of and very docile. However, I brought it home and my mom FREAKED lol. We named him Dennis but eventually he had to go live with Aaron. Luckily his family liked Dennis a lot! During the school year we went to a reptile expo in "the middle of nowhere, PA". We got there a little before it was closing and this vendor, knowing there was very little time left to make any more sales, gave us a SMOKIN deal on 2 columbian red tail boas. They were still babies pretty much but, they have the recessive trait for "snow." That means, if we mate one of our snakes with either an albino or another one just like them with the recessive trait, there is like a 25percent chance the snake will be a snow. Which, are the most beautiful pure white snakes. We took them to Glen's the other night and he poked and prodded and found out what sex they were. See, when we bought them we had no time to have them sexed at the expo and it's also hard to tell when they are so young. We named them Bonnie and Clyde because we figured the smaller one was most likely the male and the large one was the female. Usually that's the case.... Well, after the other night it would appear they are both female and each worth at least $500. Snake breeding is a cool investment. You wouldn't believe how many people want to buy rare snakes. Aaron and I are making sure to handle them as much as we can so they stay very comfortable being handled and being docile. I was only bit by Dennis (the tiny corn snake) cause he is so small, scared, and skiddish.

Snakes are awesome. They are soooo cute too. I never thought I would feel that way.

So last night wasn't the Friday night I expected but it wasn't bad. Aaron got off work and we were going to go to the Fairport Canal Days and watch the fireworks but we were both kinda tired. I had cleaned my house and room ALL day. I mean, it looks fantastic now. I got clothes sorted for the garage sale and a drop box. I can actually walk around my room now. I have a bed to sleep in and its not covered in clothes and makeup and who knows what else. When Aaron got here I was learning how to iron clothes. haha I know it's not rocket science but of course the first shirt I was trying to iron had all these funky pleats and shapes. Aaron watched for a while, we talked, and then he fell sound asleep. I kept trying to wake him. I made soup and woke him up but he fell asleep. I showed him a video but then he fell asleep. I told him to do hw with me for our classes and he fell asleep. haha So I stopped bothering him and just did some Astronomy hw and so at least I got some work out of the way. He was pretty cute.

Today, another scorcher. I'm going swimming with Aaron and then to the Drive-in. I guess we are going to see Kung-Fu Panda. I didn't know it had Jack Black in it so I have to see it I guess. Also, I've heard terrible reviews of the Indiana Jones movie but I have to know for myself, and that's the second feature. Aaron and I have been watching all the previous ones, but I always fall asleep before the end of every movie. We always start them at like midnight though. I never realized how much I like Harrison Ford. oh Harrison...lol jk I should have studied to become an archeologist. My mom almost did. I guess I never thought you could actually do that. I thought you had to wait until you were like a retired history professor and then you had to fund your own trips and, idk, I didn't know that was like a REAL job! Is it too late? lol

Ok well, I need to get outside and enjoy this weather. Anyone interested in camping soon? I found all these cool campgrounds around rochester that I didn't even know existed! Cabin rentals too for like $35 a day!

oh, and I need a part time job. I guess I'll have to cave in and job hunt monday. I'm running out of money fast.
