Nikki here, back from an almost one year hiatus.
I'll probably start writing in here again on a regular basis once I finish up my classes this next week or so. Just to feel like I'm in highschool again this summer or something. sighs
Everyday something crazy happens. Today, a girl with an uneccesary grudge pretended to trip and spill scaulding hot coffee on my back (and my new tank top from Aaron.) It's not that big a deal, but almost really funny, cause how childish is that? No one was standing around and she did that whole, "oops hehe sorry" in her little Disney character voice. I played it off at least like I practically didn't notice cause I did not want to give her the satisfaction. If anything I gave her this look like, "wow haha(yea I laughed AT her), what a loser."
I also had to stand up to a certain girlfriend of mine who has taken advantage of my property and passiveness for too long. I'm not gonna be walked all over. Aaron was there while I faced the challenge and he told me he was proud of me so...cool. I guess that's progess for me.
As far as school goes, I've never been so behind the game. I got reemed by my department chair this morning, so, that was a kick in the arse and I'm hopefully going to knock some more work out of the way tonight and have my portfolio handed in tomorrow afternoon so I can participate in room lottery at 9pm. If all goes according to plan I should have a single-room next year within a suite of friendly, artsy girls...perrrrfect! I just have to bust my ass tomorrow and get signatures.
This weekend? It was unbeatable. It was Spring Formal and Quad Jam. The Gin Blossoms played and Aaron and I were right up first row outside on the Quad under clear blue skies. Everyone was sloshed except us, and I liked it that way. It was pretty special, and the formal was fun, gettin dressed up and dancing to SexyBack, and Satisfaction by Benny Benassi with such a good dancer ;)
GIN BLOSSOMS though...oh I died. I grew up on that music. They were so cute even though they were older, and the singer was so interactive with the crowd, his name is Biff, haha so cool. Aaron almost caught the drummer's stick but it bounced off his hand and some Dad next to us caught it and well, he was a Dad with his son so we couldn't just gank that.
Well, I have more work than you know.
Portfolio, Office of Student Accounts, Meet with Ross Novack, Register for Fall Classes, Register for Summer Classes at ESC, 2 Survey papers, Sociology Notes/Reading, an Accounting Final, Concerts to attend, Housing, Music Business HW, Work(Career Services)....hmm that's just this week.
Let the fun begin.
