i wrote this the other night, before i went to bed.

Trying not to make the mistakes of before
holding back when all it would have taken was that extra word

giving in when standing up would have changed our world

being selfish in careing
the mistakes of before
being stuck on emotion
trying not to make the mistakes of before
giving less when all I wanted was more,
misunderstanding the ways i hurt the one i cared for
running away when i should have faced the foe
of time
or talk
or ugly jealousy
starting brand new
new job
new life
new girl
memories reaffirming the lessons i learned
i didnt start over just to start over again
i changed so the rules can be changed.
