ANNOUNCEMENT!
WHAT? an awesome dance-a-thon, lead by Performing Arts Board of springside school) to raise money for a destroyed performing arts school in New Orleans
WHY? Hurricane Katrina took a terrible toll on The New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA). In addition to severe structural damage, this arts magnet school and community arts center lost essential training equipment, books, and materials, and much of its student body remains spread across the country. Upper School Performing Arts Board students learned of the plight of this facility, and realizing that many singers, dancers, and actors just like them had lost their “second home,” decided to help. It took years for the founders of the school to be able to open NOCCA so it was a huge blow to them as well.
WHEN? Saturday March 4th 5 pm- 8 pm
WHERE? Springside School (8000 Cherokee Street, Philadelphia- I can give directions to anyone who needs them)
Old Gym
Fee is 10 dollars for dinner and dancing. All profits go to NOCCA
