That's not an uncommon experience, here. This village is called Luceti, and the Malnosso bring in new people pretty often. They never explain anything, so it's up to those of us still here to do that.

I'm sorry, but no...at least, not of your own will. Sometimes, the Malnosso send people home, but that's not up to us. It never is. And there's a barrier surrounding this area, so we can't leave. Plenty of people have tried to breach it, but....

I know the wings feel weird when you first get them, but they'll feel better after about a day or so. I barely notice mine anymore.
